Had this idea since seeing an uncompleted Matthew/Tyrell fill on the livejournal meme. Would write it myself if I had the time.
Tyrell makes good on his childhood crush by hypnotizing Matthew using a special synergy technique. Matthew is deeply under and the two have their fun for a few days/weeks. Eventually, they realize (probably Matthew) that they're thinking way too small - they have a technique that can hypnotize people to do their bidding, why are they stopping with Tyrell hypnotizing Matthew? Forget the quest to get some stupid feather, they're going to build a kingdom.
Tyrell hypnotizes the party with Matthew's help. Together, they quietly conquer each town they visit, hypnotizing major authority figures and prominent civilians. Tyrell is the muscle of the operation, and Matthew is the brains, planning out their conquest and figuring out how this new kingdom is going to work. Tyrell and Matthew declare themselves joint kings of this new kingdom and expand, hypnotizing more and more settlements.
This is just a basic idea, but I was intrigued by the basic idea of Tyrell hypnotizing Matthew with a synergy technique and wanted more. One last suggestion I have is that Isaac and Garet find out what Tyrell and Matthew are doing - and that Garet has been using the same hypnosis technique on Isaac for years. Maybe they move to stop Tyrell and Matthew - or maybe they decide to help.
